The silver collectible coin of Ukraine is dedicated to the hetman Petro Doroshenko. The precious 10-hryvnia piece was issued in 1999 in mintage of 10 thousand copies. The equestrian hetman in noble Cossack attire is depicted on the reverse of the coin along with the Doroshenko’s Coat of Arms. The image is framed in the round of relief beads. The name of hetman and his years of living are made in old-style script along the rim of the piece behind the beads. The obverse of the collectible piece bears the big Ukrainian Coat of Arms in the center, framed by the relief beads as well. The Trident on the state emblem is accompanied by the symbols of two main Ukrainian cities, Kyiv (St. Michael) and Lviv (Lion in crown). There are the year of mintage and the coin’s denomination inside the frame too. The name of the country and elements of traditional ornament are minted on the border.
