The collectible coin of the Ukrainian National Bank launched in 2012 commemorates the whole period of national aviation development. The village of Kacha located near Sevastopol in Crimea became the significant place since 1912 when the first school for military pilots was established there. Many known aviators were studied in Kacha, so the Centennial of the place is celebrated with the beautiful 5-hryvnia commemorated coin. The reverse of the coin has picturesque image of the winged human holding an aircraft in his hands. The dates of the Anniversary are struck in the upper part of the surface while the subject of the collectible piece is indicated by the inscriptions below. The obverse of the coin bears the Kacha’s Coat of Arms against the background depicting the map of its aerodrome. There are coin’s denomination and the name of the issuing bank indicated on the obverse too.
