    The beautiful 2-dollar silver collectible coin of Niue is dedicated to the greatest poet and writer of the Golden Age of Russian literature, Alexander Pushkin. The piece is a part of the series depicting the personalities of the period in Russian culture usually called the Golden Age. Silver coin with Pushkin’s image on it was issued in 2012. The piece has unique presentation box made in the shape of a book, the precious coin is placed inside on a field imitating the pages of Pushkin’s books. There are pictures of his famous works, texts and his own portrait and handwriting. The piece itself is a masterpiece of coinage with colored image of the poet against the background containing the scene of Eugene Onegin, one of the Pushkin’s most notable works. The upper part of the piece is gilded and shows the name of the series while the name of the poet is stated below his image.
