Malaysia 15 ringgit Conservation Fauna Malaysian Gaur PR67 PCGS silver coin 1976

The 1976 Malaysia 15 Ringgit Malaysian Gaur silver coin is a striking wildlife commemorative dedicated to the seladang, the Malaysian name for the gaur, one of Southeast Asia’s most imposing wild cattle species and an important symbol of native fauna conservation. The wildlife side presents a finely modeled standing gaur with massive body, curved horns, detailed head and legs, surrounded by grasses and leafy vegetation. The denomination appears below the animal. The opposite side displays Malaysia’s national coat of arms: two supporting tigers flank a divided shield, with the crescent and multi-pointed star above, ornamental scrollwork beneath, Malaysia above and the 1976 date below. The detailed heraldry contrasts beautifully with the naturalistic animal portrait. Struck in silver and identified as KM-19, this Proof issue is certified PCGS PR67DCAM, offering strong cameo contrast. Its combination of Malaysian wildlife, conservation, heraldry and vintage Proof coinage gives it considerable appeal for world and fauna collectors.
