Malaysia 15 ringgit Conservation Fauna Malaysian Gaur PR68 PCGS silver coin 1976

The 1976 Malaysia 15 Ringgit Malaysian Gaur silver coin celebrates the country’s remarkable native fauna through the powerful image of the seladang, or gaur, a large wild bovine of Southeast Asia. The wildlife side portrays a standing gaur in profile with prominent curved horns, carefully modeled head, muscular body, legs and tail, surrounded by long grasses, leaves and ground vegetation. The denomination completes the composition below. The opposite side features Malaysia’s elaborate national coat of arms: two heraldic tigers supporting a quartered shield filled with fine emblems, a crescent and multi-pointed star above, ribbon scrolls below, and the 1976 date. A decorative scalloped inner border frames both sides. This KM-19 silver Proof is certified PCGS PR68DCAM, with deep mirrored fields and strongly contrasting frosted relief. Combining wildlife conservation, Malaysian heraldry and an impressive vintage Proof presentation, it is an attractive addition to fauna and world coin collections.
