The 1992 Malaysia 10 Sen KM-51a is a distinctive silver Proof issue combining traditional culture with one of the country’s best-known botanical symbols. The obverse features an elaborately decorated traditional ceremonial object, shown diagonally across a woven mat. Its raised design includes an elongated central body filled with circular ornamental motifs, patterned borders, curled terminals and finely rendered decorative details, all dramatically contrasted against mirrored fields. The reverse displays a large 10 denomination beneath a hibiscus flower, Malaysia’s national flower, accompanied by leaves, a curved stem, the country name and the divided 1992 date. A beaded border frames both sides. Struck in silver with a brilliant Proof finish and identified as KM-51a, this example is certified PCGS PR68. The combination of traditional Malaysian decorative art, floral symbolism and strong cameo-style visual contrast makes it an attractive addition to collections of Asian silver, cultural themes and modern world Proof coinage.
