This 1928 Mexico 1 Centavo, KM#415, is a classic bronze issue of the United Mexican States, certified PCGS MS 64 RB. The denomination side displays a large numeral “1” superimposed over the centavo symbol, surrounded by two graceful leafy branches tied with a ribbon bow at the base. The date 1928 appears above, while the “M” mintmark below identifies the Mexico City Mint; a denticled border completes the design. The opposite side features Mexico’s national coat of arms: a powerful eagle with spread wings standing on a prickly pear cactus and grasping a serpent in its beak and talon. Oak and laurel branches tied below frame the emblem, with the legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS around the upper field. This celebrated imagery derives from the traditional story associated with the founding of Tenochtitlan and remains a defining symbol of Mexican identity. Struck in bronze and graded MS 64 RB by PCGS, this attractive Red-Brown example combines national heraldry, wildlife, botanical motifs and historic Mexican coinage.
