Mexico 1 peso State Coinage Coat of Arms KM-454 MS62 NGC silver coin 1919

This Mexico 1 Peso silver coin of 1919, KM-454, is a classic United Mexican States issue struck at the Mexico City Mint in .800 silver and certified MS 62 by NGC. The reverse features a radiant Phrygian liberty cap inscribed LIBERTAD, surrounded by long sun rays above the Mo mint mark, UN PESO and 1919. Oak and laurel branches rise around the denomination and meet in a tied ribbon below, creating a balanced symbol of liberty and national identity. The obverse displays Mexico’s historic coat of arms beneath ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS: a finely feathered eagle grips a snake while standing on a prickly pear cactus growing from a rock, framed by oak and laurel foliage. Issued during the post-Revolutionary period, this short 1918–1919 type continued Mexico’s enduring liberty-cap tradition. The 1919 issue had a mintage of 6,151,000, and its NGC MS62 certification adds particular appeal for collectors of historic Mexican silver.
