This Mexico 100 Pesos 2012 bimetallic coin from the Numismatic Heritage series pays tribute to the historic 1804 Mexico City 8 Reales and is certified PCGS PL69. The reverse reproduces the antique silver coin within the bright central field, preserving its portrait, surrounding legends, date and numerous visible counterstamps and symbols accumulated across its surface. Around this historic image appear “HERENCIA NUMISMATICA DE MEXICO,” the 2012 date, Mo mint mark, $100 denomination and dotted border. The obverse presents Mexico’s national coat of arms in a contrasting silver-colored center: a finely feathered eagle grasping a snake while standing on a prickly pear cactus, framed by oak and laurel branches with a tied ribbon. “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS” follows the golden-colored outer ring. Created to celebrate Mexico’s rich monetary history, this PL69 example combines colonial numismatic imagery with a modern bimetallic format and outstanding preservation, making it a distinctive addition to collections of Mexican and historical coinage.
