This 2004 Mexico 10 Pesos Republic coin, KM-616, is a bimetallic issue certified MS67 by PCGS, uniting ancient Aztec imagery with Mexico’s enduring national symbols. The denomination side features a finely detailed section of the Aztec Sun Stone. Its center is dominated by a stylized face with prominent eyes, nose, teeth, extended tongue and large ear ornaments, surrounded by radiating panels filled with human and animal-like figures, circular glyphs, geometric signs and intricate pre-Columbian motifs. The golden-colored outer ring carries the $10 denomination, 2004 date and Mo mint mark within a repeating stepped border. The opposite side displays Mexico’s national coat of arms: a powerful eagle with layered wings and tail feathers holding a curved serpent in its beak and talon while standing on a prickly pear cactus. Cactus pads, fruits and stems are clearly rendered below, while oak and laurel branches tied by a ribbon frame the lower border beneath the national legend. The high MS67 grade, two-tone construction and elaborate Aztec symbolism make this certified coin especially attractive for Mexican and world coin collections.
