This 2011 Mexico 1/20 Onza Libertad KM-609 silver coin is a highly attractive Proof issue certified PR69 by PCGS. Its reverse presents the celebrated Winged Victory, the Angel of Independence, standing atop her monumental column with outstretched wings and flowing classical drapery. Behind her rise the volcanic peaks Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl above the detailed Valley of Mexico landscape, with small plants visible in the foreground. The surrounding legends include 1/20 ONZA, PLATA PURA, 2011, LEY .999 and the Mexican Mint mark. The obverse features Mexico’s national coat of arms: a powerful eagle with detailed plumage grasping a serpent while perched upon a prickly pear cactus bearing numerous pads and fruits. Oak and laurel branches tied by a ribbon frame the emblem beneath ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS. Struck in .999 fine silver with a brilliant Proof finish and graded PCGS PR69, this miniature Libertad combines national symbolism, precise engraving and exceptional certified quality.
