This Mexico 10 Pesos Millennium coin, KM-636, was issued in 2000 and is a distinctive bimetallic piece authenticated by PCGS as Genuine UNC. Created for the turn of the millennium, its reverse combines the familiar central section of the Aztec Sun Stone with special millennium inscriptions. The center presents the imposing face of Tonatiuh surrounded by concentric circles, geometric panels, glyphs, stylized figures and intricate pre-Columbian symbols. The contrasting outer ring displays $10, the Mo mint mark, the millennium date ANO 2000 and additional small commemorative symbols, all enclosed by a geometric border. The obverse carries Mexico’s national coat of arms: a powerful eagle with layered feathers grasps a curling snake while perched on a prickly pear cactus bearing numerous fruits. Oak and laurel branches with detailed leaves meet beneath the emblem in a tied ribbon, while ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS curves above. Combining Aztec heritage, Mexican national symbolism and the historic transition into the year 2000, this PCGS-authenticated UNC bimetal coin offers a fascinating addition to a modern Mexico or millennium-themed collection.
