Mexico 1 onza Libertad Angel of Independence KM-639 PR 64 PCGS silver coin 2002

The 2002 Mexico 1 Onza Libertad KM-639 is a .999 fine silver Proof coin featuring the celebrated symbols of Mexican liberty and national heritage, certified PR 64 by PCGS. The reverse depicts Winged Victory, inspired by the Angel of Independence monument in Mexico City, standing upon her architectural pedestal with dramatically outstretched feathered wings and flowing classical drapery. Behind the figure rise the volcanic peaks Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl above a detailed Mexican landscape with fields and plants. The inscriptions include 1 ONZA PLATA PURA, 2002, LEY .999 and the Mo mint mark. The obverse presents Mexico’s national coat of arms: an eagle grasping a snake while perched on a prickly pear cactus, framed by a wreath and ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS. Ten historic versions of the Mexican eagle emblem surround the central arms, displaying varied eagles, wreaths and heraldic arrangements. Reflective Proof fields emphasize the sculptural relief and intricate national imagery, making this certified Libertad an attractive addition to Mexican and world silver collections.
