This Mexico 50 Pesos bimetallic coin from 1994, KM-571, honors the Niños Héroes, six young military cadets remembered for defending Chapultepec Castle during the Mexican-American War of 1847. Certified PCGS MS63, this historical collectible features a silver-colored center surrounded by a golden-colored ring. The reverse displays six cadets in military uniforms, with detailed faces, collars, caps and a raised Mexican flag bearing patriotic lettering. The inscriptions NIÑOS HÉROES, 1994, Mo mint mark and N$50 denomination complete the central composition. Laurel branches tied with a ribbon and a geometric border decorate the outer ring. The obverse features Mexico's national coat of arms: an eagle with spread wings holding a serpent while standing on a prickly pear cactus with fruits, surrounded by oak and laurel branches and the inscription ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS. A meaningful certified coin celebrating courage, sacrifice and Mexican national heritage, ideal for historical numismatic collections.
