Malta 5 liri Football World Cup in the USA Goalkeeper PR69 PCGS silver coin 1993

The Malta 5 Liri silver coin of 1993 celebrates the 1994 Football World Cup in the United States, capturing the excitement and athletic drama of international football. Struck in Proof and certified PCGS PR69DCAM, this impressive commemorative features a dynamic goalkeeper diving horizontally through the air, arms extended as he catches the football with both gloved hands. His uniform, shorts, bent legs, boots and the paneled ball create a vivid sporting composition, complemented by the World Cup reference and 5 Liri denomination. The reverse presents Malta’s national coat of arms: a shield bearing the George Cross and vertical heraldic lines, surmounted by a mural crown and surrounded by olive and palm branches tied with a ribbon. The country name and 1993 date complete the design. With brilliant mirrored fields, strong cameo contrast and a near-perfect PCGS grade, this silver Proof is an appealing collectible for enthusiasts of football, goalkeepers, international sports and Maltese numismatics.
