Mexico 5 pesos Two Worlds Encounter Wildlife Turtle Fauna PR69 PCGS Ag coin 1994

This 1994 Mexico 5 Pesos silver Proof coin celebrates the endangered Pacific Ridley sea turtle through the Ibero-American Encounter of Two Worlds program. Certified PCGS PR69 Deep Cameo, it combines brilliant mirrored fields with beautifully frosted wildlife imagery. The obverse depicts a swimming sea turtle with a segmented shell, extended flippers, textured scales and detailed head, surrounded by flowing underwater lines. The inscriptions ENCUENTRO DE DOS MUNDOS, N$5 denomination, 1994 date and Mexican mint mark complete the design. The reverse features Mexico's national eagle holding a serpent while perched on a prickly pear cactus, framed by oak and laurel branches and nine national emblems with shields, wreaths and geometric details. The Pacific Ridley, also known as the olive ridley turtle, faces threats from fishing activities, habitat loss and egg harvesting. This beautifully preserved coin highlights marine conservation and offers collectors an exceptional wildlife-themed silver Proof.
