This 2010 Mexico 20 Pesos silver coin commemorates the Bicentenary of Mexican Independence and is certified PCGS PR69 Deep Cameo. The commemorative side depicts the historic Parish of Dolores, with its ornate twin bell towers, accompanied by a large church bell, the dates 1810–2010, $20 denomination, Mo mint mark and Bicentenario de la Independencia de México inscription. The church in Dolores Hidalgo is closely associated with Miguel Hidalgo and the Grito de Dolores of September 1810, traditionally regarded as the beginning of Mexico’s struggle for independence. The opposite side displays the national coat of arms in exceptional detail: a powerful eagle gripping a serpent in its beak and talon while standing on a prickly pear cactus, with cactus pads, oak and laurel branches, ribbon and ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS legend. Struck in silver with a Proof Deep Cameo finish, this PR69 commemorative combines Mexican history, architecture, national symbolism and high-grade certified quality.
