A new coin.
This 1919 Mexico 20 Centavos silver coin is an attractive early 20th-century issue associated with the ideals of liberty and the turbulent Mexican revolutionary era. Certified PCGS MS63, it survives in collectible Mint State condition. The obverse prominently displays the denomination 20 above CENTAVOS and the date 1919, framed by an ornate wreath of leafy branches. Above the value appears a radiant Liberty cap, with long sun rays spreading outward toward the rim, creating the coin’s most recognizable symbolic element. The reverse carries Mexico’s historic national coat of arms: an eagle with spread wings gripping a serpent while perched on a prickly pear cactus, surrounded by a wreath and the legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS. The eagle, serpent, cactus, Liberty cap, rays and botanical ornament combine national identity with republican symbolism. Struck in silver and preserved in a PCGS holder, this MS63 example offers collectors a compelling combination of Mexican history, classic coinage design and certified quality.
