This Mexico 100 Pesos two-coin set from 2005 represents the State of Colima within the Mexican Federation commemorative program. Both bimetallic coins feature a golden-colored outer ring surrounding a contrasting silver-colored center, creating a distinctive presentation of regional and national symbolism. The Colima side displays the state coat of arms: a central shield containing a stylized arm and hand motif, topped by a helmet and decorative crest and supported by elaborate figures and vegetation. The design is accompanied by ESTADO DE COLIMA, the 2005 date, Mo Mexico City mint mark, $100 denomination and a dotted border. The opposite side carries Mexico’s national emblem, showing the eagle with detailed spread wings grasping a snake while standing on a prickly pear cactus, surrounded by oak and laurel branches tied with a ribbon and the legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS. Colima, on Mexico’s Pacific coast, is represented here through its official heraldic identity. Offered as a matching set of two KM-729 bimetallic coins in protective capsules, it is an attractive choice for collectors of Mexican states, heraldry and Federation issues.
