This Mexico 100 Pesos 2004 bimetallic coin is dedicated to the State of Tamaulipas and forms part of the Mexican States Federation series. Certified PCGS MS66, it combines a silver-colored center with a contrasting golden outer ring. The state side displays the detailed coat of arms of Tamaulipas within an ornamental shield. Its imagery includes agricultural plants, cattle and regional symbols above a landscape with fields, water, a fishing boat, hills, clouds and an oil derrick, reflecting the state’s agriculture, livestock, fishing and petroleum resources. The date 2004 appears above, while ESTADO DE TAMAULIPAS, the Mo Mexico City mint mark, $100 denomination and dotted border complete the design. The national side features Mexico’s eagle grasping a snake while standing on a fruit-bearing prickly pear cactus, framed by oak and laurel branches tied with a ribbon and the legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS. A high-grade MS66 coin combining regional identity, industry, nature and Mexican heraldry.
