This 1992 Mexico 10 Pesos Republic coin, KM-553, is a striking bimetallic issue certified MS67 by PCGS, uniting pre-Columbian heritage with Mexico’s enduring national symbolism. The denomination side features an elaborate representation of the Aztec Sun Stone, centered on the imposing face of the solar deity with prominent eyes, nose, mouth and projecting tongue. Surrounding panels contain stylized heads, circular forms, glyph-like figures and intricate geometric motifs. The golden-colored outer ring displays N$10, the date 1992, Mo mint mark and DIEZ NUEVOS PESOS, framed by a stepped border. The opposite side presents the Mexican national coat of arms: a finely feathered eagle grasping a curved serpent while standing on a prickly pear cactus. Detailed cactus pads and fruits appear below, while oak and laurel branches, leaves and a tied ribbon form a decorative wreath beneath the emblem. ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS curves above. The exceptional MS67 grade, contrasting bimetal design and rich Aztec iconography make this certified Mexican coin especially attractive for collectors.
