This 1994 Mexico 1/20 Onza Libertad KM-542 is a .999 fine silver Proof coin, certified PF67 Ultra Cameo by NGC. Its reverse presents the classic Winged Victory, the Angel of Independence, with broad feathered wings, a wreath raised in her right hand and flowing drapery around the figure. The mountainous Mexican landscape with the Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes extends behind her, accompanied by the 1/20 ONZA and PLATA PURA inscriptions, Mexican Mint mark, date and LEY .999 fineness. The obverse carries Mexico’s national coat of arms: a powerful eagle gripping a serpent while perched on a prickly pear cactus, with detailed feathers, cactus pads and fruits. Oak and laurel branches tied by a ribbon frame the lower composition, while ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS curves above. The Angel of Independence is one of Mexico’s most recognizable symbols of liberty, giving this certified miniature Proof Libertad strong historical and numismatic appeal.
