The reverse portrays Winged Victory, the Angel of Independence, standing atop her column with one arm extended, flowing drapery and magnificent feathered wings. Behind her, Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl rise above the Valley of Mexico, with mountain slopes, vegetation and small plants completing the landscape. The legends include 1/10 ONZA ORO PURO, 2014, LEY .999 and the Mo mint mark. The obverse presents Mexico’s national coat of arms beneath ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS: a finely detailed eagle gripping a snake while perched on a prickly pear cactus, surrounded by oak and laurel branches tied with ribbon.
