Mexico 1/10 onza Libertad Angel Independence KM-543 MS 67 PCGS silver coin 1992

This Mexico 1/10 Onza Libertad silver coin of 1992, KM-543, is a fractional bullion issue struck in .999 fine silver by the Mexican Mint and certified MS 67 by PCGS. The reverse portrays Winged Victory, the Angel of Independence, standing before the volcanic peaks of Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. Her finely feathered wings spread upward as she raises a laurel wreath in one hand, while flowing classical drapery surrounds the figure. The inscriptions 1/10 ONZA, PLATA PURA, Mo mint mark, 1992 MEXICO and LEY .999 identify the issue. The obverse displays Mexico’s national coat of arms: an eagle gripping a snake while perched on a flowering prickly pear cactus, with detailed feathers, cactus pads, oak and laurel branches and ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS above. With a regular-issue mintage of 299,983, this early fractional Libertad combines iconic Mexican symbolism with an impressive PCGS MS67 grade.
