Malaysia 5 sen Republic Coinage Parliament House PR69 PCGS CuNi coin 1980

Malaysia’s 1980 5 Sen Republic Coinage issue is a refined copper-nickel Proof featuring one of the country’s most recognizable civic landmarks, Parliament House in Kuala Lumpur. The architectural side depicts the complex with its tall rectangular tower, closely spaced window pattern and adjoining low parliamentary structure. Beside it appear the crescent and multi-pointed star, prominent Malaysian national symbols, while a finely beaded rim frames the miniature composition. The opposite side places a large numeral 5 at the center, accompanied by the denomination and year, with Malaysia identified above. Two small floral ornaments flank the numeral, adding symmetry and decorative character to the otherwise clean design. Parliament House represents Malaysia’s federal legislative institutions and makes this coin especially appealing to collectors of architecture and national symbolism. Struck in CuNi and certified PCGS PR69 Deep Cameo, this exceptionally preserved 1980 issue offers sharp detail and strong visual contrast for a Malaysian or world coin collection.
