The 1976 Malaysia 10 Ringgit Third Malaysian Five-Year Plan silver coin, KM#17, commemorates the national development program introduced for 1976–1980. Certified PCGS MS69, this sharply preserved commemorative reflects an important period of Malaysia’s economic and social development. The obverse centers on a portrait of Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak wearing glasses, surrounded by a striking radial arrangement of panels. These segments contain varied national and developmental imagery, including crescents and stars, industrial and architectural forms, agricultural motifs and other symbols representing Malaysia’s states and progress. The reverse displays Malaysia’s national coat of arms: a shield supported by two tigers, with crescent and multi-pointed star above and a flowing motto ribbon below. The Third Malaysia Plan dates 1976–1980 and 10 Ringgit denomination frame the heraldic composition. Struck in silver at the Franklin Mint, this exceptional MS69 example combines politics, national planning, heraldry and Malaysian history in one highly collectible issue.
