A new coin.
The 2009 Malaysia 10 Ringgit KM-156 silver Proof coin celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Bank Negara Malaysia, marking the central bank’s development from 1959 to 2009. One side places the Bank Negara emblem at the heart of a stylized flower, surrounded by a circular panorama of Kuala Lumpur architecture. The skyline includes modern high-rises, towers and the recognizable twin spires of the Petronas Towers, creating a visual link between banking and national development. The anniversary years frame the design. The opposite side features a large geometric floral motif composed of eight pointed petals around a radiant central star, set against a finely textured field. Ornamental arabesque motifs appear at both sides, while the denomination completes the composition. Bank Negara Malaysia was established in 1959 as Malaysia’s central bank and has played a central role in monetary and financial stability. Struck in silver with a Proof finish and certified PCGS PR69, this sophisticated anniversary issue combines finance, architecture, floral geometry and Malaysian national symbolism.
