The 1924 Luxembourg 5 Centimes coin from the reign of Grand Duchess Charlotte is an attractive interwar issue combining royal symbolism with elegant classical ornament. Certified PCGS MS64, this CuNi coin preserves strong detail and appealing original character. The obverse centers the crowned monogram of Grand Duchess Charlotte, formed from intertwined letters beneath a finely detailed royal crown with arches, pearls and cross. The surrounding legend identifies Charlotte as Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, while the 1924 date appears below; a beaded border frames the design. The reverse displays the large denomination “5 CES” surrounded by symmetrical leafy branches that curve upward from a central flower, creating a balanced wreath-like composition, again enclosed by a beaded rim. Charlotte reigned from 1919 to 1964 and became one of the defining figures of 20th-century Luxembourg, guiding the monarchy through a period of profound political and social change. Its historic date, royal monogram, floral ornament and high Mint State grade make this a desirable piece of classic Luxembourg coinage.
