Liberia 10 Dollars 2001 Princess Louisa Replica token is a striking maritime-themed collectible dedicated to the East Indiaman Princess Louisa and her historic 1743 shipwreck near the Maio Islands of Cape Verde. One side depicts the large sailing vessel at sea with a detailed hull, multiple masts, billowing sails, extensive rigging and rolling waves, accompanied by text recording that the Princess Louisa was wrecked on April 18, 1743 while sailing to India. A prominent circular transparent insert contains a small irregular fragment associated with the replica theme. The opposite side displays Liberia’s coat of arms: a sailing ship on the sea, palm tree, rising sun, flying bird and plow within a shield, surrounded by decorative ribbons. The 2001 date, 10 Dollars denomination and another view of the central insert complete the design. Its dark antique-style finish, dimensional maritime artwork and unusual embedded element create a distinctive display piece for collectors of shipwreck, seafaring and nautical history.
