The 2011 Lithuania 50 Litu silver Proof coin, KM#219, celebrates the historic castles of Vilnius, powerful symbols of the capital’s medieval heritage and Lithuanian statehood. Certified PCGS PR70, this perfect-grade architectural commemorative presents a richly layered panorama inspired by the Vilnius castle complex. The thematic side shows the prominent multi-level Gediminas Castle Tower rising on the hill, crowned by a waving flag, with defensive walls, towers and distant architectural ruins extending across the landscape. Below appears a monumental structure with three large arched openings and masonry details, creating remarkable depth. The opposite side continues the architectural theme with three pointed Gothic arches rising above a textured stone surface. Above them is Lithuania’s Vytis coat of arms: an armored knight on horseback with raised sword and shield bearing the double cross. LIETUVA, the divided 2011 date, 50 LITU denomination and Lithuanian Mint mark complete the design. Struck in silver with a Proof finish, this flawless PCGS-certified issue combines architecture, castles, heraldry and the history of Vilnius in an outstanding collectible.
