The 1925 Lithuania 2 Litu silver coin from the Republic’s regular coinage is an appealing historic issue from the interwar period. The obverse presents the Vytis, Lithuania’s enduring national emblem: an armored mounted knight riding a galloping horse, raising a sword overhead and carrying a shield with the double cross. Flowing details of the horse’s mane and tail, harness, knight’s armor and shield are framed by the country legend, while the date 1925 appears below with a small geometric mint symbol and decorative motifs. The reverse places the large numeral 2 above the denomination DULITU, surrounded by an elegant symmetrical wreath of leafy branches tied with a ribbon at the base. A beaded border encircles both sides. Listed as KM-77 and struck in silver, this regular-issue coin represents the monetary history and national symbolism of independent Lithuania between the world wars. Its classic heraldic design, historic silver composition and attractive surviving condition make it a desirable addition for collectors of Baltic, European and Lithuanian coinage.
