Liberia 10 Dollars 1993 Protoceratops KM-99 is a striking Proof silver coin dedicated to prehistoric life and one of the best-known dinosaurs of the Late Cretaceous. The reverse presents two detailed Protoceratops in profile, an adult and a smaller individual, with carefully engraved scaly skin, powerful legs, clawed feet, long tails, curved beaks and prominent neck frills. The composition is framed by the Preserve Planet Earth theme, Protoceratops name and $10 denomination. The obverse displays Liberia’s national coat of arms: a three-masted sailing ship on the sea, palm tree, rising sun, flying bird and plow within an ornate shield, surrounded by ribbons, the 1993 date and denomination. Protoceratops was a herbivorous ceratopsian dinosaur from Cretaceous Asia, famous for its parrot-like beak and distinctive frill. Struck in fine silver with Proof finish and certified PCGS PR67, this collectible combines paleontology, wildlife art and world numismatics in an impressive display piece.
