Liberia 10 Dollars 1995 President Sun Yat-Sen is a Proof silver commemorative honoring one of the central political figures in modern Chinese history. The obverse presents a frontal portrait of Sun Yat-Sen in a high-collared jacket with breast pockets, set before a mountainous landscape and the winding Great Wall of China. His name, life dates 1867–1925 and $10 denomination frame the composition. The reverse features Liberia’s national coat of arms with a three-masted sailing ship on ocean waves, palm tree, rising sun, flying bird and plow, surrounded by ornamental ribbons, the divided 1995 date and 10 Dollars denomination. Sun Yat-Sen was a revolutionary leader and the first provisional president of the Republic of China, remembered for his major role in the movement that ended imperial rule in 1911. Struck in fine silver with a Proof Deep Cameo finish, this example is certified PCGS PR68DCAM, making it an appealing piece for collectors of political history, Chinese themes and certified world coinage.
