The Laos 50,000 Kip 1975 King Savang Vatthana and Laotian Maiden gold coin is a striking proof issue celebrating the final era of the Kingdom of Laos and its cultural identity. The obverse presents a right-facing portrait of King Savang Vatthana in formal attire, surrounded by royal Lao and French legends. Below appears a traditional royal emblem centered on a three-headed elephant, flanked by ceremonial parasols and smaller symbolic elements. The reverse features an elegant Laotian maiden in traditional dress, with carefully modeled facial features, an elaborate high hairstyle, earrings, necklace and decorated garment. The 1975 date, 50,000 Kip denomination, National Bank of Laos legend and gold fineness mark complete the design. Savang Vatthana was the last king of Laos, reigning from 1959 until the monarchy ended in 1975, giving this dated issue particular historical significance. Struck in gold with a brilliant Proof finish and certified PCGS PR67, it combines royal history, portraiture and traditional Lao imagery in a highly collectible format.
