Laos 50 Kip 1994 Elasmosaurus and Tylosaurus is a dramatic silver Proof coin devoted to prehistoric marine reptiles, certified PCGS PR68DCAM. The reverse creates an energetic underwater encounter between two ancient predators. A long-necked Elasmosaurus curves dramatically through the scene, displaying its small head, open jaws, elongated neck and paddle-like flippers, while the powerful Tylosaurus rises below with an elongated snout, visible teeth, streamlined body and flippers. Stylized waves and water lines surround the animals, with PREHISTORIC ANIMALS, species names and the 1994 date completing the composition. Elasmosaurus was a plesiosaur distinguished by its exceptionally long neck, while Tylosaurus was a large mosasaur and formidable marine predator of the Late Cretaceous seas. The obverse features the historic Lao PDR emblem with rice ears, fields, road, trees, infrastructure, star, hammer and sickle, cogwheel and ribbons, with 50 KIP below. Superb Deep Cameo contrast and the PCGS PR68DCAM grade make this an exciting collectible for enthusiasts of prehistoric life, marine reptiles and world silver coins.
