The Laos 5,000 Kip 1975 Laotian Maiden proof silver coin presents an elegant portrait theme reflecting the cultural heritage of Laos. One side features a young Laotian woman in traditional appearance, shown in a finely modeled bust with her hair gathered into a high bun, a long ornamental earring, necklace and decorated garment. The portrait is accompanied by the 1975 date, 5,000 Kip denomination and reference to the Banque Nationale du Laos. The opposite side portrays a right-facing bust of a royal figure in formal dress, with carefully rendered facial features and an embroidered high collar. Below appears a ceremonial elephant motif flanked by traditional architectural or ritual objects, adding a distinctive symbol of Lao royal culture. The coin is struck in .925 silver with a Proof finish, combining mirror fields with detailed relief. Its portraiture, traditional costume, elephant imagery and historical banking theme make it an appealing piece of Southeast Asian numismatics.
