Laos 50 Kip 1985 is a commemorative silver coin issued for the 10th Anniversary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, combining national history with distinctive architectural imagery. The reverse presents an elaborate Lao palace or temple complex with a dominant tall central spire, tiered roofs, smaller pointed structures and palm trees. Decorative foliage curls around the large 50 denomination, while a beaded rim completes the composition. The opposite side bears the historic state emblem used by Laos during this period: rice sheaves framing cultivated fields, a roadway, forested scenery and industrial elements, with a cogwheel below and a star with hammer and sickle above. The dates 1975–1985 identify the anniversary being commemorated. This KM-26 silver issue has a Proof Deep Cameo finish and is certified PCGS PR67DCAM. Its combination of architecture, political history, national symbolism and a high certified grade makes it an appealing addition to a specialized Laos or world commemorative collection.
