Laos 15,000 Kip 2007 Year of the Pig “Affluent” is an attractive Lunar Calendar commemorative struck in .999 fine silver and certified PCGS PR69DCAM, displaying excellent Deep Cameo contrast. The reverse depicts a family group of five pigs: two large adult pigs stand behind three smaller piglets arranged among grasses and vegetation. Bamboo stalks and leafy branches rise along the left side, while stylized clouds frame the scene and the “AFFLUENT” theme appears above. The denomination, silver fineness and decorative characters complete the composition. The obverse presents the national emblem of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, with rice sheaves surrounding a central stupa, road, cultivated fields, trees, cogwheel and ribbon, accompanied by the 2007 date. In Chinese zodiac tradition, the Pig is associated with prosperity, abundance, generosity and good fortune, perfectly complementing the family imagery and Affluent theme. Combining detailed fauna, Lunar symbolism, .999 silver and high-grade PCGS certification, this charming issue is ideal for zodiac and Asian coin collectors.
