The 2004 Kazakhstan 500 Tenge "Falcon" silver coin is a striking issue from the renowned Endangered Wildlife series, honoring one of the most admired birds of prey found across the vast steppes and mountains of Central Asia. The reverse depicts a magnificent falcon (Falco cherrug) with its wings fully spread as it prepares to land or take flight. Every feather is rendered in remarkable detail, while the background features rocky cliffs, a mountain landscape, a setting sun, clouds, and flying birds. The inscriptions "ITELGI" and "FALCO CHERRUG" identify the species in Kazakh and Latin. The obverse displays the large 500 TENGE denomination, the year 2004, the emblem of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, elegant traditional ornamentation, silver fineness, and the bilingual inscription naming the Republic of Kazakhstan. Struck from .925 silver in beautiful Proof quality, this example is certified PCGS PR69 Deep Cameo. Combining outstanding engraving with an important conservation message, this coin is an excellent addition for collectors of wildlife, birds of prey, and modern Kazakh numismatics.
