Great warlord of the past Genghis Khan (Chingiz Khan) is the theme of the silver coin launched in Kazakhstan in 2008. The Mongol Empire established by Great Khan occupied the most part of Eurasian continent. Being the founder of the largest empire in human history (on contiguous continents), Genghis Khan is considered to be the progenitor of numerous Asian monarchs. Both sides of the coin celebrate the glory of Mongolian warcraft depicting the images of Genghis Khan’s armed people. The obverse shows the Mongol Empire warrior riding a horse and pointing his arrow. Next to the image of the rider the gold-plated Coat of Arms of Kazakhstan is placed. The face value of the coin is 100 Tenge; it’s indicated on the obverse along with the issuing year. The National Bank of Kazakhstan as the issuing bank is mentioned in Kazakh and English along the rim of the coin. The reverse shows the impressive image of Genghis Khan at the head of his troops. The name of the Mongolian warlord is scripted along the rim as Chingiz Khan in Kazakh pronunciation. There are also the dates of his birth and death struck.
