The 2007 Kazakhstan 500 Tenge "Tusau Kesu – First Steps" silver coin celebrates one of the most meaningful traditions of Kazakh family life. Part of the Customs and National Games series, it honors the ancient Tusau Kesu ceremony, performed when a child takes their first independent steps. According to tradition, the ties around the child’s legs are ceremonially cut to symbolize a future of confidence, good fortune, and a successful path through life. The reverse depicts a touching family scene: a young child taking their first steps while being guided by an elder in traditional attire, as a seated woman looks on with care and pride. Decorative latticework, hanging ornaments, and the inscription "ТҰСАУ КЕСУ" complete the composition, together with the year 2007. The obverse features the State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the denomination 500 TENGE, intricate national ornaments, and bilingual inscriptions identifying the Republic of Kazakhstan. Struck in .925 silver with a beautiful Proof finish, this example is certified PCGS PR69 Deep Cameo, highlighting its exceptional quality and brilliant mirrored surfaces. A wonderful collectible celebrating family values, cultural heritage, and the traditions of the Kazakh people.
