Issued in 1971 (AH1390), this Iraq 500 Fils commemorative coin marks the 50th Anniversary of the Iraqi Army, celebrating five decades since the foundation of the country's national military in 1921. Struck in nickel and certified PCGS MS63, it is an attractive modern commemorative with strong historical significance. The reverse depicts two uniformed soldiers in profile, one in the foreground and another standing behind, each wearing military helmets and carrying rifles over their shoulders. Large Arabic numerals commemorating the anniversary appear beside the figures, creating a bold military composition. The obverse features Arabic inscriptions surrounding a central circular panel bearing the denomination "500 Fils." Elegant floral arabesque ornaments decorate both sides, while the dual date AH1390–1971 and the inscription of the Central Bank of Iraq complete the design. A finely detailed beaded rim frames both sides. Certified Mint State 63 by PCGS, this well-preserved commemorative issue is an excellent choice for collectors of Iraqi coinage, military history, Middle Eastern numismatics, and world commemorative coins.
