The set of two collectible coins of Israel is dedicated to the Biblical story of Abraham. Both silver coins with face values of 1 and 2 shekels have the same design of their sides. The obverses of the pieces show the denominations and other legends including the name of the country and the year of issue indicated in three languages: English, Hebrew and Arabic. The state emblem of Israel and Star of David are minted next to the inscriptions. The surface is decorated with numerous relief images of five-pointed stars. The theme of the coin in three languages as well is indicated along the rim. The Biblical Abraham and his meeting with three angels predicted him Isaac’s birth are the subject for the couple of coins of the set. The reverse side of each piece bears only the image of the scene without any inscriptions. Three figures of God’s angels are in the center while Abraham and his wife invite them with bows and welcoming gestures.
