This 1735 France 1 ecu silver coin, KM-486.12, Gad-321, was struck at the Bayonne Mint under King Louis XV and bears the L mintmark. Certified PCGS AU58, this historic royal issue captures the elegance of eighteenth-century French coinage. The obverse presents a left-facing bust of Louis XV with an elaborate curled wig, flowing hair, draped shoulders, and detailed royal attire, surrounded by his Latin titles. The reverse features a crowned oval shield bearing three fleur-de-lis, framed by two graceful laurel branches with detailed leaves and berries. The date 1735, Latin inscription, and small decorative symbols complete the composition. Louis XV ruled France from 1715 to 1774, a period marked by artistic refinement, political change, and the flourishing of Rococo culture. With its attractive silver surfaces, historic Bayonne origin, and PCGS AU58 certification, this coin is a desirable addition to collections of Bourbon monarchy and European numismatics.
