This France 5 francs silver coin of 1828, struck under King Charles X, represents the Bourbon Restoration and the elegance of 19th-century French coinage. Cataloged as KM-728.13 and Gad-644, this W mintmark issue is certified PCGS MS61. The obverse displays a finely engraved left-facing portrait of Charles X, featuring carefully styled wavy hair, sideburns, and the inscription CHARLES X ROI DE FRANCE. The engraver's signature MICHAUT appears beneath the bust, framed by a beaded border. The reverse presents the crowned royal shield bearing three fleurs-de-lis, surrounded by two detailed laurel branches tied with a ribbon. The denomination 5 F and date 1828 complete the composition, alongside the W mintmark. Charles X ruled France from 1824 to 1830, becoming the last Bourbon king crowned at Reims. With its historic royal imagery, attractive silver surfaces, and certified Mint State preservation, this coin is a desirable addition to any French monarchy collection.
