The Fiji 10 Dollars silver coin issued in 2012 is part of the distinguished “Patron Saints” series and honors Saint Olga, one of the most revered rulers and the first Christian ruler of Kievan Rus. Known for her wisdom, strength, and role in spreading Christianity, Saint Olga remains a powerful historical and spiritual figure.
The reverse features a finely crafted icon-style portrait of Saint Olga, depicted front-facing with a calm and dignified expression. She wears a royal headdress and richly ornamented robes decorated with intricate geometric and circular patterns highlighted with selective gilding. In her hands, she holds a cross and a miniature church, symbolizing her role in establishing Christian faith. A radiant halo behind her head emphasizes sanctity, while the composition is framed by a structured geometric border with gold-toned square accents and a textured background. Inscriptions run along the edges in stylized script. The obverse displays the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “FIJI 2012,” and “10 DOLLARS.”
Struck in fine silver with a proof finish and elegant gilded details, this coin is certified by PCGS with a high grade of PR69 DCAM.
A remarkable collectible combining religious heritage, royal symbolism, and exquisite mint craftsmanship.
