The picturesque set of nine collectible coins of Buryatia was minted in 2014. The Republic of Buryatia is located in Siberia and has border with Mongolia. Thus, the natural conditions and culture of the territory are similar to the ones of the latter. The coins show the images of Buryatia fauna, many of them are endangered species. The images are placed on the reverse sides surrounded by the starry pattern along the coins’ edges. The denominations of the pieces are minted next to the animals. The opposite side of each collectible coin contains the Coat of Arms of the republic and its name along the lower rim of the piece. The year of producing is minted above the emblem of Buryatia. The pieces are made of different metal alloys, so they have various colors. The largest coin is trimetal, composed of white, yellow and red alloys.
