The Aland Islands 100 Marks commemorative coin of 2013 is dedicated to Pyotr Bagration (1765–1812) and the Treaty of Fredrikshamn (1809), which marked the transfer of Finland, including the Åland Islands, from Sweden to the Russian Empire. The obverse presents a detailed portrait of General Bagration, one of the notable commanders of the Napoleonic era, with depictions of soldiers and a cannon in the background. The inscription in Russian refers to the Fredrikshamn Peace Treaty, while the years of Bagration’s life are also shown. On the reverse, the design highlights the coat of arms of the Åland Islands: a golden deer against a blue shield beneath a stylized crown. Around the rim runs the inscription Aland Islands in the Russian Empire 1809–1917, along with the denomination 100 MK and the year 2013. Struck in high relief with selective coloring, the coin combines historical references with symbolic imagery of the region, making it an attractive collectible for enthusiasts of Nordic and European history.
