The Algeria 10 Dinars silver coin of 1994, certified PR67DCAM by PCGS, honors Abdelhamid Ben Badis (1889–1940), a leading figure of Algeria’s cultural and national revival. Ben Badis was a reformist scholar, educator, and founder of the Association of Algerian Muslim Ulama, dedicated to preserving Islamic and national identity under colonial rule. The reverse presents a finely detailed portrait of Ben Badis in traditional attire, accompanied by Arabic inscriptions and the dual years 1889–1940 / 1307–1359, marking his life in both Gregorian and Hijri calendars. The obverse features the denomination “10” boldly at the center, framed by Arabic script and the dates 1994 / 1415. Struck in Proof quality, the coin demonstrates sharp engraving and a mirror-like finish, enhancing its numismatic appeal. With its limited mintage and historical significance, this issue stands as a meaningful collectible for enthusiasts of North African history, political leaders, and certified world silver coins.
