Czechoslovakia 100 Years Sculptor Josef Myslbek MS66 PCGS silver medal 1972

The 1972 Czechoslovakia 100 Korun silver commemorative medal marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of sculptor Josef Václav Myslbek, one of the founders of modern Czech monumental sculpture. The obverse features a strong left-facing portrait of Myslbek with a full beard and sharply defined profile. Above the portrait are the dates 1872–1972. Below, the inscription “SOCHAŘSTVÍ J. V. MYSLBEK” and the denomination “100” are boldly engraved.

The reverse displays the Czechoslovak coat of arms: a crowned lion within a shield, surrounded by the inscription “ČESKOSLOVENSKO.” At the base, four stylized pylons linked by a horizontal line form a subtle architectural motif, with the small initials “ZK” beneath.
